Hog Roast

Here's some seriously delicious festival inspired hog roast to get your week off to a good start!

Ingredients

- 2 apples - sweet apples are best, I used Royal Gala
- 1/4tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 tsp lemon juice - you can also use apple cider vinegar
- 1tbsp Knottys Crunchy Peanut Butter

Method

Step 1

Peel and core both apples, then chop into small cubes. You can keep the skins on for more fibre/texture if desired.

Step 2

With the cubed apples in a saucepan add in your water, lemon juice, ground cinnamon and cinnamon sticks.

Step 3

Using a potato masher, mash until your desired consistency. You can also use a food processor or blender if you want a smoother consistency.

Step 4

Add your nut butter, and stir well until combined.

Step 5

Serve in a soft bun, with cooked pulled pork and sage and onion stuffing. Top all of this with your Knottys nutty applesauce!
